printconf - automatically configure attached USB and parallel printers
SYNOPSIS
printconf [--dry-run] [--verbose]
DESCRIPTION
This manual page briefly documents the
printconf command.
printconf automatically detects and optionally configures
printers attached to Linux-based systems using the Foomatic printing
system.
OPTIONS
-n, --dry-run, --no-action
Detect printers, but don't actually configure them. This option is
useful for testing purposes.
-v, --verbose
Show additional progress information, including notification of
devices for which no autodetection data was found.
NOTES
Autodetection of parallel printers may require your computer's
parallel port to be in "bidirectional," "EPP," or "ECP/EPP" mode; this
is a setting in your computer's BIOS.
